Training was given to nine local volunteers on 24th February to monitor traffic speeds on roads within the parish.

1) Monitoring at random times and days
2) Only carried out in daylight designated sites identified by the police which included: Cross roads Westons Garage, Middle of village by the school. (Another two sited awaiting authorisation)
3) 12 sessions carried out and more than 78 monitored exceeding set limits and passed to Police. Ma
4) Main Road is 47MPH and above (10% +2)
5) Village Roads 36MPH and above (10% + 2)
6) Maximum recorded speed is 63MPH on main road
7) Warning letters sent out for first offence
8) Final written letter sent following second offense
9) Visit from the police on third offence
10) Visit by police if caught doing 20MPH above speed limit
