Planning and Community & Environment Working Groups
Born and bred in the neighbouring parish of Preston into an agricultural back ground. After leaving school spent one and half years working on local farms, then I went to Australia for two years, working my way round the country. I came home eventually and attended the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester.
Offered a job with Velcourt in 1971 and grew with the company to become a director, responsible for looking after over 8000 acres with four managers. I left Velcourt early eighties to own a glass factory with 70 employees and M.D of a Cheltenham property company.
Helen and I married 26 years ago and I have been renovating old properties ever since – now retired. Have been a Parish Councillor for past 12 years.
